La oposición violenta del gobierno y la constante agitación entre los creyentes provocan caos y preocupación. Surgen dos nuevos líderes – Pedro y Pablo – que luchan por mantener viva la fe.
Esta serie sigue de cerca la vida de ambos, juntos y por separado, durante tres décadas. Incluye el apedreamiento de Esteban, la escena del camino a Damasco, el reencuentro de Pedro y Pablo en Jerusalén y sus desacuerdos respecto a la forma en que consideraban que debía difundirse la palabra de Cristo. Los viajes de Pablo a Asia Menor y Grecia, las discrepancias de Pedro y Pablo acerca de la ley judía y la decisión que toma Pedro de seguir el ejemplo de Pablo. El drama concluye en Roma, aproximadamente en el año 64 d.C. con la decapitación de Pablo y la crucifixión de Pedro durante el reinado del emperador Nerón.

James EI have seen movies on the book of Genesis such as the 10 commandments and the Bible in the beginning about Noah but have not seen a dramatic epic concerning Paul, Peter and the early church. The viewing of Peter and Paul was a way to actually see what the book of Acts portrays in words. From the Allstar cast starring Anthony Hopkins to the detail of the villages and settings, this DVD will bring you along with Paul on his journey and trials. The acting was very good and the best part I thought was the accuracy according to the scriptures. I am going to order a copy and give to my Pastor as a gift as this viewing has given me a fresh appreciation of the early church and has reminded me of my first love, our LORD JESUS CHRIST, as I ask the question what can I do for him and how can I do it?

Best Biblical based film

Christopher EThe book of Acts comes to life in this movie. Hopkins brings passion to the character of Paul that you could only imagine actually existed. The script draws directly and meticulously from Acts and Paul's letters to such detail that you can actually discover some scriptural topics from the movie, yet it never seems forced. It's not only my favorite Bible movie, it's one of my favorite movies altogether.

ElvinAfter I watch this movie, my spirit is motivated to preach and minister to others, despite persecution. What great heroism (role models) and sacrifice for Christ this movie does portray with Biblical accuracy.

Mother5Spectacular movie!! Anthony Hopkins does an excellent portrayal of Paul. A comprehensive movie on the beginning of the church after Christ's ascension! I've watched this movie repeatedly and "never" tire of it. Highly recommended!!!

Chrishave viewed this movie at least 100 times as I show it to everyone....a great witness as it has a study guide...people are shocked at what Paul suffered. A must for every Christian and children too.
